Is Roe v. Wade “the Law of the Land?”

A large number of statements have been made this week about Roe v Wade by politicians and by media figures. Here are some of these statements:

Roe v. Wade is the law of the land, and has been for nearly 50 years

Never has abortion been legalized or encouraged by legislation on the Federal level in the United States. Roe v. Wade was created pretty much out of thin air. The text the 1973 SCOTUS used was this, from the 14th Amendment: No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

In one fell swoop the court determined that an unborn child was not a person, but property of the mother, to be disposed of like any other property. The court used “a right of privacy” implied nowhere in the Constitution to make this ruling.

A young but liberal Ruth Bader Ginsberg said of the ruling, Roe vs. Wade “became and remains a storm center, because the court ventured too far in the change it ordered.” She added that rather than resolve the issue, the court’s broad ruling “halted a political process that was moving” to liberalize abortion already.

Abortion was illegal before Roe v. Wade

Abortion was legal in a number of states before Roe v. Wade, as voters and legislators in those states determined. Those voters and legislators in the states prohibiting it lost their voices and laws because of the Court’s decision.

The upcoming Supreme Court decision will make abortion illegal in the US.

Abortion will continue to be legal in many more states than it was in 1973, and even encouraged in states like New York and California. Amazon has already committed to pay the travel costs of any employee wanting to have an abortion, and all of the ESG sensitive corporations will follow suit.

Allowing abortion is the moral and Christian thing to do.

Until the abandonment of the Judeo-Christian ethic and the departure from the historic understanding of childbirth, Abortion was considered abhorrent. Doctors swore to the Hippocratic oath well into the 20th century, which forbid them to perform abortions (since revised at the request of the OB/GYNs running abortion mills for much profit).

In the Old Testament, God spoke multiple times of knowing and forming persons in the womb. And the final straw for God in His decision to send Israel into Babylonian exile was their sacrifice of their children in the manner of the nations around them.

Many states like New York, California, and Virginia allow abortion up to and even during the process of live birth. Thousands of babies have been aborted that could survive outside the womb. Snipping a baby’s spinal cord in the birth canal makes what would be infanticide “legal” in some of these states.

Opposing abortion is racist. It will hurt the black community.

Abortion has decimated the black community.

Russia is pretty much is number one in the world regarding their treatment of the unborn, and not in a good sense, since they lead in abortion. And it is predominantly white.

Sadly, if the US was divided into separate nations by ethnicity, the African-American segment would dwarf Russia’s 37 per 1000, since it stands at 49 per 1000 (women aged 15–44 years).

Margaret Sanger, a eugenicist (like Hitler) and the founder of the modern abortion movement (Planned Parenthood). infamously wrote in a 1939 letter, “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

In her 1920 book Woman and the New Race, she wrote: “The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”

Which segues into another predominant lie:

Overpopulation is going to destroy the world, and promoting widespread abortion is key to avoiding that.

In my role as an audio/visual tech, I run sound and video for some of the top companies and organizations in the world. I was retained a couple of years ago to work sound/video at a United Nations Population Council (I can’t remember the exact group name), and I expected the usual overpopulation line. Actually, the tone of the meeting bordered on panic. The panic was not about the high birth rate, but the falling birth rate. The birth rate is falling at such a rapid pace that many countries will be collapsing as their workforce dies out. (In Japan, they sell more adult diapers than baby diapers.)

In some more recent meetings, I’ve heard world-class economists speak of recession and even a 1929-level depression (at or about the 100 year anniversary). Integral to their conclusions is the prevalent factor of falling workforce availability. There will not be enough workers to support infrastructure in our country (and around the world). “Fur-babies” are taking the place of children in our society. (I may summarize some of the financial decisions and investment options these economists presented in a later post.)

It is difficult to even find the data I’ve presented here given the manipulation of search engines and social media by the extreme left controllers of our information. I’ve linked some of the articles I’ve quoted, and i have the PDF available of the younger Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s thoughts upon request.

As ancient Israel (and other nations) found, a crisis in morality precedes crises in economies and in confict with other nations. We have lost our moral underpinnings as a nation, and it will only end in disaster unless God grants us repentance and revival .

When I opened my news feed before starting my Bible reading the morning of the “leak” announcement, I wondered what my predetermined reading might say that morning about the news…

“They built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.” – from Jeremiah 32

“Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!” He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. It was a pleasant five minutes between the pandemic and World War III

While “the news” may be of some use, I’ve come to the conviction that our main source of truth is Biblical truth, and so I have committed to searching that truth daily.

We are finding ourselves in an incredible mess as a country. We’ve placed our trust in evil regimes (yes, even more evil than the US) to provide our everyday basic needs for food, and covering.

Our wicked governmental leadership has cobbled our ability to provide and has turned to worshiping the earth and its creation rather than God.

My reading today took me to this passage in Deuteronomy: “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the LORD your God is testing you to find out if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall follow the LORD your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from among you.

I’ve sat in a number of corporate meetings where the focus was following ESG principles (though I’m loath to call them principles). ESG is Environmental, Social, and Governmental.

Here’s how ESG and Biblical truth collide.

Google “Gaia Worship” and you’ll find the environmental error. As it says in Romans 1, “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.” We’ve abandoned our Biblical God and chosen to worship the world around us.

In January the Biden administration bought into the Green New Deal (pure Gaia worship) wholeheartedly when it attacked the fossil fuels industry in our country. The Keystone XL project was just the tip of the iceberg. There was (and is) a multi-pronged attack on our ability to product energy locally. At the same time, we placed more dependence on countries that don’t take nearly the care to protect the environment that we do.

Now we (and the whole world) find ourselves in a near-apocalyptic situation, on the brink of nuclear war (yes, really).

Time keeps me from addressing the “S” and “G” in ESG this morning, but I will follow up, Lord willing, in the next few days. Take heart, however, and mediate on God’s word.

“God, restore us And cause Your face to shine upon us, and we will be saved. Do not remember the iniquities of our forefathers against us; Let Your compassion come quickly to meet us, For we are brought very low.  Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; And deliver us and  forgive our sins for Your name’s sake.  Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” Let there be known among the nations in our sight, Vengeance for the blood of Your servants which has been shed. Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; According to the greatness of Your power preserve those who are doomed to  death…”

Trump Blew It On Covid-19

It’s the pseudo anniversary of the “Covid Pandemic,” as declared by the World Health Organization, and we have a year’s worth of data to reflect upon. While WorldOMeters accuracy has been called into question, we can still use it to see the rough trends. Please read to the end to see the specific ways the Trump Administration’s handling of the crisis exacerbated the crisis. Trump had an opportunity to reduce the medical and economic effects of this disease radically, but he failed.

We will look at only one metric, but it is a telling one.

Death.

We have solid data for deaths per million from Coronavirus. The United States has to date 1631 deaths per million. This places the US at 12th in the world, behind countries like the UK, Italy, Portugal, and Belgium, all countries that had extreme lockdowns in place.

If you Google Brazil today, you’ll find much press about President Bolsanaro’s mishandling of the pandemic. However, Brazil ranks well below the US at #25, right below Sweden’s #24. Bolsanaro and Sweden both utilized very lax lockdowns and measures.

So how did the Trump administration (and Congress) fail?

  • Panic. Trump is well known for being a germaphobe, (a condition rampant in our country) and leaned too heavily on WHO-influenced medical “experts” who really had no idea what they were dealing with. In contrast, Sweden pretty much carried on business as usual, and Brazil’s president made fun of the disease (perhaps not a good response.)
  • Abandonment of Common Sense. It’s been known for centuries that disease flourishes in cramped unventilated space, which was the norm with closing of outdoor parks and beaches and oppressive stay-at-home regulations by states like New York and California. Exposure to sunlight is nearly essential to a healthy immune system, and millions of people were locked away from the sun and fresh air.
  • Medical (and governmental) Malpractice. There was sufficient data from China and Europe providing evidence that ventilators were functionally a death sentence for most patients, but the government put insurance bonuses in place for those institutions that put patients in ICU and on ventilators. And placing Covid-positive patients in rest homes among the most at-risk population? (That might as well go under Abandonment of Common Sense.)
  • Giving the Socialists the Reins. (We already have a socialist government; it’s just not as bad as it could/will be.) Socialism dictates that the “wise” leaders have the best in mind for their people, and we are well indoctrinated in this country by Socialism. Remember, we have a huge socialist medical system in Medicare and Medicaid, and now have the beginnings of guaranteed income with the new stimulus act.
  • Inability to do Math Among Adults (can’t blame Common Core). Right now we have a little under 600,000 Covid deaths in this last year. The CDC came out with a report that “Covid drove a 15% increase in deaths last year.” In fact, Covid still falls far behind heart disease and cancer in the death rate, even given that many of those deaths were likely attributed to Covid. And that odd statistic about nearly no influenza deaths this year is being ignored…

Bolsanero has been called the “Latin American Trump.” We could have wished for Trump to be the “North American Bolsanero.” Had Trump (and his administration, and Congress) not been so influenced and enamored by “the Science” and pure paranoia, we might have been closer to Sweden’s and Brazil’s death tolls per million than Italy’s and Great Britain’s…

“Enough fussing and whining. How much longer will the crying go on?” Bolsonaro told a crowd at an event. “How much longer will you stay at home and close everything? No one can stand it anymore. We regret the deaths, again, but we need a solution.”

Above all else, we as American’s have to conquer our fear of death and our obsession with extending our lives though extreme medical actions, and trusting in the corrupt and socialized medical institutions that consume the greatest part of our wealth as a nation.

What is our chance of dying? 100%.

We need to pray with Paul, “…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.” (Ephesians 1:17-19)

And we need to stop walking “…according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.” (Ephesians 2:2)

These are eternal truths that should and could have been espoused by Trump, and Congress, that were overwhelmed by the lies fronted by secular humanists and socialists.

Postscript: I wrote this tongue in cheek given that no sitting American president could have survived the onslaught of media persecution that would have been the lot of any American president taking a stand like Brazil’s Bolsonaro. We can try to imagine an alternate universe where rationality reigns and true scientists, such as Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford, have their day in the public forum. I highly recommend you listen to him.

It’s Likely YOU Are Being Targeted

You may think that the Democrats’ antagonism towards Trump is a result of his personality and demeanor. If you think so you are gravely wrong. And if you think you are insulated from such actions against yourself, you’re also gravely wrong.


Are you pro-life? Do you believe that marriage is a God-ordained union between a man and a woman? Do you believe that capitalism is the most viable form of economics when paired with true representative government? Do you believe in the Rule of Law?


If you answer yes to any of these questions, you are as much of a target of the Socialist Democratic left as Trump is. In their mind and supported by their worldview, you are a racist, a misogynist, and a homophobe.


In the eyes of the inteligencia, you are suffering from a psychosis, and legislation has already been submitted and actions implemented (and in some cases, already in effect) that would restrict or eliminate your 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendment rights.


Fortunately, there’s a government in place and in power that supersedes the one that would oppress us. Below are excerpts from my reading in Psalms this morning. They are both a Declaration against the evil and an appropriate prayer to God.


My soul is among lions; I must lie among those who breathe forth fire, Even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows And their tongue a sharp sword.  Be exalted above the heavens, O God; Let Your glory be above all the earth. Innocent Blood

The shedding of innocent blood has brought the judgment of God as documented from the first pages of Genesis to the last pages in Revelation. My Bible reading in Jeremiah yesterday brought this issue again to the forefront.


The idea of temple prostitutes might seem strange to us, but the Goddess sex queen Asherah (Asherim were idols to her that Israel set up and worshipped) brought the worship of sex hand in hand with child sacrifice, which was the final straw for God’s patience and insured the destruction of Israel and bondage of Israel to other nations.


Are our Asherim now produced by the media and set up in our living rooms? And is our sacrifice of innocent blood, the abundance of abortion in our country and in the western world,  been done to enable the continual worship of sex?


“The sin of Judah is written down with an iron stylus; With a diamond point it is engraved upon the tablet of their heart And on the horns of their altars, As they remember their children, So they remember their altars and their Asherim By green trees on the high hills… And you will, even of yourself, let go of your inheritance That I gave you; And I will make you serve your enemies In the land which you do not know; For you have kindled a fire in My anger Which will burn forever. Thus says the LORD… because they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind… Behold, I am about to bring on this city and all its towns the entire calamity that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to heed My words.”

There are few in our culture that are innocent, but we have chosen to discard in pools of blood the few that are. Does judgment stand at the door?


We are entering an era today in which unhindered abortion at any stage of development  is fully approved (and soon to be encouraged) by the controlling party of the two legislative branches of our federal government and the executive branch. And little stands in the way of their actions to change the makeup of the Supreme Court enabling unfettered bloodletting in our country.


May our God move, in justice and in mercy, to end this slaughter.

A call for Unity.

It is relatively rare in our country for one party to have “unity” of all three branches of government Never in our history as a nation have all three branches of government been aligned in the approval and promotion of abortion as we will be on January 20. There is literally no form of abortion, including right up until birth, that mainstream Democrats (and now libertarians) disapprove of.


As a country we definitely are not in unity, but we are called as Christians to abide in unity. Jeremiah had the woeful task of delivering judgment to his nation, and seems that the final straw for God was when they adopted the practice of “passing their children through the fire –” child human sacrifice. I believe God passed that judgment upon them (placing them in bondage and exile) because that practice was institutionalized by their leaders.
Every nation and tribe that institutionalized human sacrifice was eventually destroyed. Often they were destroyed through invasion, like the Israelites, the Aztecs, and the North and South American Tribes (many who still remain in some manner, having been banned from sacrifice by their colonizers). In those continents in which Christianity was established, the practice was mostly eliminated… until now.

Historically children were sacrificed to external gods; in the US and other countries of the world now they are sacrificed for convenience, for careers, at the demand of lovers, peers, and parents: basically for the love of (and worship of) Self. The priesthood is no longer those dedicated to Set, or Moloch, or the sun gods of the Americas, but. a priesthood of authorities in white jackets, to whom (we think) we owe our physical and mental health.

There is a monetary “national debt” that many are concerned about; I believe our nation is accruing a debt in blood, the “blood of innocents” that is so often condemned in Scripture. I don’t know whether America will fall by enemy occupation, by plague, civil war, or natural disaster. She will fall, however, unless there is a revival.

The steps are clear: humility and prayer, and turning from our sinful, wicked ways (repentance). (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The only unity we as a country (and the Church) will achieve is at the foot of the Cross. When we set our government or ourselves up as gods we might achieve conformity, but never unity.

‘Cut off your hair and cast it away,
And take up a lamentation on the bare heights;
For the LORD has rejected and forsaken
The generation of His wrath.’
For the sons of Judah have done that which is evil in My sight,” declares the LORD, “they have set their detestable things in the house which is called by My name, to defile it. They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, and it did not come into My mind. Jeremiah 7:29-31

Peaceful Protest…

In no sense would I participate in something like that which went on at the Capitol tonight or support it. However, for more than four years the Left and the media have disparaged Trump and his supporters at every turn, accusing them of stealing an election, of collaborating with Russian interests, labeling them as racist and sexist, deplorable, and every other thing.

They’ve watched the Left and the media call Antifa and BLM violence and vandalism peaceful protest, seen their businesses destroyed and their livelihoods and their First Amendment rights discarded, seen Hollywood actors call for assassination of a sitting president and media figures call for killing people for failing to wear a mask, with no censure.

And they’ve watched left leaning activist courts overturn dozens of laws protecting fair and reasonable elections, while the mainstream and social media suppress any news critical of the Left, bury valid allegations of sexual indiscretions, and pillory any conservative candidates.

I don’t condone this violence against our Congress or government, by the Left or by the Right, but I don’t recall any unarmed protestor shot and killed by police in any of the dozens of recent Left-approved and Left-encouraged riots, as happened today to an unarmed woman.

I hate what happened today, but I’m not surprised. Hearts need to change, on both sides of the political spectrum. What would actually surprise me would be if that happens.

Here’s verses from my daily reading this morning and comments I penned this morning before all this occurred. I didn’t get a chance to post it until now.


The thing worse than a compromised political “deep” state, is a compromised state of heart. Here is Jesus dealing with the “deep state” of His day, from today’s reading in Mark:

The Pharisees and the scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?” And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME. ‘BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.’ Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men.”

“… whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?” (Thus He declared all foods clean.) And He was saying, “That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”

And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

If the political events play out as they seem to be in Georgia and in Washington DC today, the godlessness of a significant portion of the American populace will continue the rise of this “deep state” of politics. Socialism is always a partner of those who reject the Gospel.

It is a time to make sure of your citizenship in the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior.

“Covid” Deaths: The Data Are There; Too Bad No One Reads And Reports On It.

From the most recent CDC numbers out (linked below):

7400 total deaths of 292000 total attributed to Covid are under 45 years old.

That’s less than 3% of the totals in the latest CDC numbers.

But it gets even more interesting when you look at the comorbidity data:

Of the 10479 total deaths attributed to Covid from “Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events,” 741 were in that 45 and under age group. 

So, fully 10% of people under 45 who died, attributed to Covid, had causes of deaths with nothing to do with Covid.

Now of the full population’s deaths (292000) attributed to Covid OVER HALF (152,400) are unknown, labeled “All other conditions and causes (residual).”

If we extrapolate the ratio derived from the total accidental deaths to the huge residual number, we find that over 7% of “Covid” deaths are from “Intentional and unintentional injury, poisoning and other adverse events.”

And should we be counting the 14000 people who died from cancer?  Or the 12000 that died of Alzheimers? Or the 32000 that died of dementia?

I’m rethinking my reluctance to call Covid a hoax (in print, anyway).

If you choose to trust the mainstream media, the W.H.O. and the soundbites from the CDC, “From this place also you will go out with your hands on your head; For the LORD has rejected those in whom you trust, and you will not prosper with them.” Jeremiah 2:37

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
